Waterford Airport and Wexford Festival Opera Team Up
Waterford Airport and Wexford Festival Opera have joined forces once again in a bid to boost tourism numbers to the Southeast.
The partnership sees Festivalgoers flying into Waterford Airport for the renowned Wexford Festival Opera availing of a courtesy shuttle bus direct to Wexford Town.
The renewed travel partnership was announced at Waterford Airport today (Thursday, October 4) ahead of the opening of the 61st Wexford Festival Opera, which will take place over 12-days from 24 October to 4 November in the award-winning Wexford Opera House, and other venues in Wexford Town.
Commenting on the travel partnership Graham Doyle CEO at Waterford Airport said, “We are delighted to be working with Wexford Festival opera again this year, it is a partnership that works really well and we have a huge number of visitors across our UK route network avail of the special travel arrangements for the festival. The festival is a huge asset to tourism in the Southeast region and is a key cultural event attracting more visitors’ year on year.
